  A wedding should be the happiest day of your life, but things can go wrong.

With today's weddings costing as much as £10,000 it pays to effect adequate insurance to mitigate possible financial losses.

Why is Wedding Insurance so Important

If you had to cancel, you could lose your deposits.

If you cancelled nearer the day suppliers could demand the whole of contracted amounts.

· A supplier could go into liquidation holding your deposit.

· Cancellation could occur through many calamities, (death

illness, injury, redundancy causing financial difficulties, service personnel posted abroad etc).

· Wedding Attire could be lost or damaged.

· A guest could be injured, or the reception venue damaged and you might be held legally liable.

· The professional photographs may not come out.

· Rings or presents could be lost or damaged.

· The reception venue may close before the Wedding.

Cancellation

We will reimburse you for expenses incurred because of the necessary cancellation of the Wedding or Reception for most reasons (as listed in full on the Policy) but including death, injury, illness, redundancy of bride, groom, or close relative.

Venue closed or unable to hold the function.

Loss or damage to bride's or bridesmaids' wedding attire or hired menswear.

Wedding transport not arriving.

Member of Armed Forces posted abroad.

We will reimburse you up to 25% of the original cost of the Wedding or Reception for any extra costs involved if you avoid cancelling by booking elsewhere at a higher price if the originally booked service is unable to provide it.

All of the above depend on the amount of cover you select on the Proposal Form,

Wedding Attire up to £2,000

We will pay for the loss of or damage to the bride's and bridesmaids' dresses and men's formal wedding attire or their hire charges following loss or damage if such hire charges are still imposed by the hire company.

Wedding Presents up to £1,500

We will pay for loss of or damage to the wedding presents in your possession within 24 hours before and after the wedding day.

Wedding Photographs/Video up to £1,500

We will pay to have the photographs retaken if they do not come out or if the professional photographer booked fails to arrive or if the professional video tape is lost or damaged before being handed to the insured within 28 days after the end of the Reception.
